What do I make with the ties I buy?

I've been asked a few times about all these ties that I pick out at opshops. I use them in various patchwork projects, but this week I did something a bit different. I'm currently making tea cosies for the Tea Cosy Festival at Bundoora Homestead in May (it is a fund raiser for the Cancer Council of Victoria). One of my friends suggested I make up a cosy using my ties, so I did. I've had so many compliments on this one, it seems I'll have to make a few more!
