Camberwell Salvation Army Thrift Shop

If you are wondering why I typed that long title in, it is because that is what's printed on the sales docket. On previous posts, I think I've just put Ashburton Salvos, but this time I'm being a bit more respectful! I was in Malvern on two days last week, so I have to visit the opshops on both days, just in case I missed out on something the first time. Beautifully hand embroidered cloth wtih machine crocheted edge - $15.

Lovely ties. They were priced at $3 each, but when I showed the salesgirl the tea cosies I'd made by recycling ties, she let me have these for $1 each.

Beautiful length of Batik $5.

Old book on the history of the Bath - 50c.

Love some of the illustrations....

Brooches and badges, various prices between $1 and $3. I'll use most of them to embellish crazy patchwork.

The Mt Fuji badge is cute. You'll have to do a Japanese inspired tea cosy for that one.

That bath book looks like interesting reading.

I had a butterfly brooch just like that! My grandmother gave it to me when I was around 6 or 7. :D

I'm loving this blog! Have added it to my reader and if I find anything awesome on my adventures I'll pass the info on! :D
