Haberstashers clean out your cupboards!

This week we recieved a glorious cache of haberdashery from Vera and Stan. They had one of the first shops in Warringal Mall, Heidelberg in the 1970's before moving to the Greensborough Market for 16 years.

When they retired, their haberdashery went home to the garage. Sometimes people would come knocking, knowing they'd be able to get that piece of lace or ribbon they were after.

Some of that lovely stash has found its way through the op shop into the sewing rooms of two women who are making beautiful new products with it. The craft industry is alive and kicking and we love being able to provide the raw materials to help these small businesses on their way.

So haberstashers, peer into the dark recesses of your cupboards and drawers and release your doilies, tablecloths, souvenir tea towels, hankies, wool, ribbons, lace and vintage fabric so that they may be loved again.

OOHHH - heavenly habby! I'm in Bundoora tomorrow, so I might just take a slight detour on the way home and stop off at Rosanna!

oooh, how deliciious. It is true that many of us buy our supplies from op shops. Giving new life to discarded items is a joy.

Hi Diane. We are at 43 Beetham Parade in Rosanna. Most of the haberdshery from the photo has now sold but I am hoping we'll get some more.
Like us on Facebook if you want to know what's happening in the shop.
