Dresses at Vinnies Altona North.

It must be corkboard week! We popped into Vinnies Altona North this morning (it opens early enough for us to have a quick gander before work - yay!) and my partner picked one up for $3 - he uses them for pinning things to for spraypainting.
As for me, I finally gave in and bought this dress - it has been there for my last two visits and I just couldn't help myself - for polyester it has a lovely silky feel ($8).

I also bought this paisley-print cotton dress. It looks home-made, and it's either a large size or it's maternity - either way there's loads of fabric, and I am having upcycling ideas for this by springtime ($5)

There were two very similar opera-length black velvet skirts, both for $8 - I nabbed the one with the elastic waist ;-)

And having to take pictures outdoors (for the good light, you know) was just one of many excuses I found for spending time out in the glorious sunshine today!

I love the first dress! I love the pattern and the pop of the red, the collar with the bow is pretty neat. I love pussy bows on dresses and tops.
p.s I love this blog, I’ve been following it for some time now. I absolutely love op shopping, and seeing what other people find! Looks like you found some great dresses!
I recently found some nice items too, if you would like to check them out: http://hausofartistry.wordpress.com/2012/07/04/emerald-green-80s-gold

I can't wait to see what you do with the second dress! Some people are so clever. The first dress is nice and the skirt looks handy!
