I bought this lovely chair for my middle daughter who loves old chairs.

It is really unusual with an interesting timber frame.

I was just wandering around Vinnies in Tyabb Rd in Mornington when this caught my eye.  On the spur of the moment I bought it so I do hope my daughter loves it.

It is pale yellow and is really comfortable.

We need to replace the two chairs in our lounge room that belonged to the original full suite. We sold the two seaters and kept the chairs, but now they don't match anything. I never thought of looking in the larger opshops (ours is too small for furniture), but after seeing that chair...it looks so comfortable! And in great condition.

That looks like a Cintinque chair. I love that brand. They have been around for so long, and when you find one in good nick (as this appears to be) you should jump on it. Great find!

Raelene, thanks for that name. I shall check it out. The chair is still at Vinnies, I will collect it tomorrow.

GinaE, the Vinnies in Oakleigh and the one in Tyabb Rd have great furniture, so does the Salvos in Oakleigh.

I LOVE the chair. Would it be rude to ask how much you paid for it?

Hi Carmen I paid $40 reduced from $60.

It is gorgeous isn't it. I have bought it for my daughter but I could easily keep it.

It's a Cintique chair. My parents had 3 single seaters and a 2 seater in their lounge back in the 1960's. They were very well sprung and comfortable. It looks like it's been re-upholstered. Good find.
