tasmanian blackwood
I went shopping at Sacred Heart Mission in Bentleigh yesterday and thought that I had seen what there was to see. I did go back today because there was something that I had forgotten (and phew, it was still there). I grabbed that and about half a dozen other things that were suddenly indispensable. Like this Tasmanian blackwood bowl:

Tasmanian Blackwood is worth having at any price, Amelia! Your bowl is a real treasure. I have a small one, and I love just handling it, the wood is so smooth.

Beautiful find. I find it hard to go past a piece of blackwood.
Look out for Tasmanian huon pine pieces in op shops too. I picked up my bowl for $4 and these sell for $40+++ in Tassie!
