Vintage patterns

Hello all! My first contribution to "I op, therefore I am" is these vintage patterns found on my first trip to the Northern Community Church of Christ Op Shop in High St, Preston.
They also had plenty of very low priced buttons: I bought these patterns as well, even though I'll have to grade them down to fit. Great cover artwork!
I've only discovered what a treasure trove op shops can be in the past year or so - since I've been reading craft blogs. Now I just need to find a little time to sew.

Ah, I love vintage patterns. My mother had a long dress made from the pattern on the bottom right of that first shot. Hers was in a mint-green jersey, and the buttons on that front detail were covered in white beads. I always thought she looked like a Greek goddess in that dress, which probably ended up in an op shop.

Thank you for visiting my blogs. I am going to write you an e-mail about the Saddlebred horses.

Style 2191 was my yr8 home economics sewing project. That was 1980.....I think my Mum still has the skirt not sure about the pattern though.
