Do you have an op shop that you sort of try to avoid because every time you go there you end up buying something? Yes, I know, most op shops are like that... but the Oakleigh Salvos is particularly bad, or good, depending how you look at it. I went there the other day innocently intending to browse, but ended up buying a crockery set. You know how it is.
This one was $44.99 and handgemalt (handpainted) in Germany. I can't read the brand name I'm taking an educated guess that it was made in the 70s!
**update... I neglected to mention how many pieces were in this set... please see comments as I've explained why this seems so expensive!

First Daughter, That is a nice crockery set, but $45.00? That's a lot for an opshop!
Yes I think the first comment is not really intended for most of this blog's readers..!!
And I neglected to mention that the set was like 6 dinner plates, 6 bowls, 6 side plates, coffee cups and saucers and 2 cream jugs and 2 egg cups (the others must have been broken) and I got a free casserole dish too... my photos make it look like there was hardly anything in the set!
Hah! You've saved me from myself - I saw that very set and forced myself to walk away from it. I'm glad it's gone to a good home (just not mine) :)
Great find! Love your blog...I am now a new follower! How can I resist when it's all about op shopping, my fav thing to do! Eleesa
Love the colours of that set! (I've been away for a week and catching up on reading blogs is nearly killing me ... lol)
