Came across the Temcare Op Shop in Station Street, Oakleigh today.
I haven't been there for a number of years as the price tags were quite steep.
But imagine my surprise to find that not only the prices have shrunk but the oodles of goodies waiting to be snaffled up!
When did this happen and why didn't I get the memo?!
Stacks of craft stuffs, china, pottery, silverware, clothing, the works - and all very reasonably priced.
I got my son some childrens classic books for 50 cents each, stencils and souvenir tea spoons, again all for 50 cents.
For those whose fingers are getting itching to start knitting/crocheting there is a big basket full of lovely yarns and a container full of needles, there are a lot of bags of stamps behind the counter for stamp collectors, some fab books and plenty of great donated vintage pieces to have a gander at, while there were some fab dolls on the counter - something for everyone!

Perle 8 thread
I don't often pop into op shops these days, but I was dragged (willingly, of course) into Oakleigh Salvos this afternoon by my son.
There I found 15 balls of Perle 8 thread for $8.00. Moments earlier I had been contemplating buying Perle 8 thread from the nearby wool store for $2.50 per ball. Clearly my son was onto a winner!

What would you use this for
I've always thought of how pretty glass ashtrays were, although I found no use of them being a nonsmoker. Recently when I was hunting for some goodies at the Doncaster Salvation Army, I found myself staring at this beautiful, heavy & undamaged piece of glass and thought what a perfect jewellery holder it'd be!
So, now I have this pretty little jewellery holder, it fits my bits & pieces and it cost me about $2, what a bargain!
Just like to say a big 'HELLO' to everyone who reads this blog. I'm a new contibutor as of today, and would like to start sharing all the little treasures I find in our Melbourne secondhand stores. Hope you enjoyed my first post! x

It doesn't matter if these break!
We have a friend who breaks things when he drinks. Chairs, flower pots, shoes (don't ask me how, it's a mystery!) and of course, wine glasses. I looked in the cupboard the other day and saw a measly three glasses left.
So I took myself off to the Sacred Heart Mission op shop on Clarendon St, South Melbourne and scored these glasses for only $1 each. Now our friend can break as many as he likes!

While I was there, I couldn't resist picking up these Mossimo heels for only $10. They're in fabulous condition and a perfect fit. And with a cute, furry leopard print lining on the inside to boot!
