I was in East Malvern today, and came home along High Street Road to Warrigal Road. There are three more opshops along that road, but if I'm short of time, the only one I stop at is the Salvos, which is right at the end, near Warrigal Road.
It's a beaut store, taking up two shop fronts, and run by friendly staff.
I have been looking for a white leather belt for ages and finally found one today (that fits me) - $1.
Had a quick flick through the craft mags and found some interesting projects in this one. $1.
A year or so ago, I bought a set of four cups and saucers in this kitty design for $10 at the RSPCA opshop. One of the cups developed a crack, so the set has just been decorative instead of being used. So when I saw these two today for $2 each set, I grabbed them. One to replace my cracked cup, and one extra!
I don't know what this little china piece is used for - it is about 2 inches high. But I love the design - naughty Geisha! $3.

Cute cat mugs!! I have a black cat (well, he lives at my parents place as I rent and can't have him here!) and love collecting all thing cat, particularly black cats!
Also love the Geisha item... perhaps a sake cup? I'm not really sure though..
Saw the Craft Mag - We have a great selection of second hand craft mags at Amitie (281 Centre Road Bentleigh VIC) for $2 each and the money gets donated to charity!
Oh thank you Jac - I think you are right about it being a Sake cup. I've seen those before, but didn't think to connect this one with the rather less risque cups I've seen before!
Amitie Girl, if ever I get down south as far as Bentleigh, be sure I will drop and in and check out those magazines!
The store also has a loyalty card program ftw. Some of the stuff becoming pricy though...
Yes, it's a sake cup, speaking from my years of living in Japan! But probably for the western market rather than domestic (ie from a tourist shop). Cute find though.
Those cat mugs are very cute.
