I have dozens of vintage sewing books already, but whenever I come across another one at the oppy there's no way I can leave it on the shelf!
I just love the illustrations. This book was published in 1949.
This one is from 1969. Retrotastic!
Both books were found at Salvo's St Kilda on Carlisle St.

I love the cover design of this book and think I'd enjoy a page through.
Oh WOW what a find! I have started collecting sewing books because the pictures are amazing.
I would have had trouble passing those by too, I collect patterns because I love the pictures, but I have had to get a bit strict on myself as I have over 100 now... most of which I have never used!
Quite the find. I would mostly have issues wishing I could have all the lovely patterns, or just salivating over the lovely pictures of amazing clothes...
Wonderful find. Great book which shows how women looked when women were LADIES, not like some of the females you see on the streets these days. You can still dress beautifully from opshops as everybody who reads this blog knows, but sadly, some people just don't know how to make the best of themselves. (Showing my age again - sorry.)
