tins and boxes

I like finding interesting storage items at op shops. Like this jewellery box I got at Savers (Brunswick) and this cute cookie tin from Brotherhood of St Lawrence (Melbourne city).

(more photos on my blog)

Have you come across any wonderful boxes/tins/jars at op shops?

Oh Muchlove, tins were my downfall for a long time at Savers in Greensborough! I kept on finding really unusual tins, useful tins, handy sizes and shapes tins, until I had nothing more to put in them and it was time to stop. I did sell a few on eBay in that time, which helped to defray the cost!

I love the jewelery box! I always find really cute boxes but I don't buy them because I have no space for them in my room, wish I did though :P

I'm a sucker for boxes too... I got some great cake tins at Savers and I keep my material scraps in them. And I can only barely resist when I see old jewellery boxes... sometimes I don't really bother resisting :)
