When I have been out I have found some real treasures.
Earlier this week I took a drive down along the beach road to Sorrento and visited one of my favourite oppies.
The lovely ladies in the sorting room called my in and asked if I would like to see something special. Well of course I would. They were unpacking this gorgeous Christening gown and slip. Hand made and complete with a little piece of paper with the names of 3 boys and the dates in the 1960s.
I am thinking of framing this gown as it is quite fragile.

Great to see you back here too! You find the most exquisite things. The butter dish is gorgeous - I have a similar one that belonged to my late MIL.
The childs garments are so lovely, just looking at the smocking...
I have a milk jug and cake plate with a very similar design to your butter dish. Ladies in crinolines and bonnets must have been all the rage. :)
