Another Bargain in the South East

I couldn't NOT share this gorgeous alpaca wool knit (French Connection) I picked up on Friday for only $8.99 at Salvation Army, Noble Park!

This store is much bigger than the one I mentioned in my last post - there is lots of furniture like sofas, dinner tables, desks etc. There is a bigger range of types of garments in this store, but I still think there are better quality items and definitely more brand names at the Dandenong store. This store does have way more mens wear than the other store though, quite a bit more actually. There is also a really decent book selection at this store!

Happy opp-ing :)

Salvation in the South East

Today I popped by my favourite Salvation Army store out on Lonsdale Street, Dandenong. Managed to pick up 3 awesome buys all for around $13. I found an Italian silk scarf, a lovely Country Road white singlet, and a Tokito vest. A perfect little outfit and for a fraction of the price I'd even pay for one of these items in a store!

This store had some amazing branded jeans (ladies) in stock.. sadly too small for me but for any size 8-10s out there definitely worth a trip out to see. The store is open 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday. Note, there is another Salvo's in Dandenong - this one is next to a motorbike shop... a little further away from the main shopping strip but definitely worth visiting!

everything but what i intended to buy

Scored these from the Vinnie's in High Street, Kew, along with a couple other pieces you can see at my blog. I was looking for a wooden kid's table for my two year old. Think I'll have to start scouring eBay for one instead.

Everything at the Vinnie's in Kew is a bit more expensive that average op shops (though still bargains), but I usually find great looking designer wear. And it's good to remember that the money goes to a very good cause.

bright, bright sunshiny day

Hooray!! I op therefore I am has been awarded a Sunshine Blogging Award by Michele (aka Happy Dacks).

When I started this blog there were five specific reasons that I wanted to promote op shopping:
  • save money
  • contribute to charity
  • live sustainably
  • find treasure
  • be unique
Michele has actually come up with another eight; do post a comment if you can think of any more!

Cheap Frills

Cannot thank the kind souls of the Bellarine Peninsula for donating their delightful unwanted wares to the Lorne op shop. No name shirt $3.50 and vintage Balenciaga sun glasses $3. Mr frilly fits perfectly and though I look rather flamboyant in those sunnies, they are quite large, I do adore them so!

Happy opping friends,
Style Tweak xx
